The design, construction and commissioning of two new gas chlorine storage and dosing systems at the Duckmaloi Water Filtration Plant and Oberam Dam required an extended period of proof-of-performance testing before handover. Scope of work included detailed design, installation and commissioning of: new direct-mount gas chlorine system for use on 9000kg drums at both sites (required dose rates were 10 kg/h and 4 kg/h with duty standby facilities); electrical supply, metering, instrumentation and controls, including SCADA integration; new ejectors and associated pipe and fittings. Further, new buildings and structures, including lifting devices, were designed and built.
Critical Equipment Manufacture and Welding Sequence
Critical equipment fabrication requires a strong focus on welding techniques. It is important to ensure that proper welding techniques are employed to achieve high-quality and
